393 vs 411

I am considering purchasing either a 411 or a 393. Sailing 90% in the Chesapeake Bay. Any opinions on one over the other?

I believe the 393 has been around longer than the 411, which would tell me they offer what people want. I like the looks of the 393 layout.

No the 411 has been around longer. They stopped production of the 411 in late 03 but the 393 was in production till last year. I am obviously biased but I prefer the layout of the 393. The only downside of the 393 is the rather narrow pullman berth forward, if you prefer to sleep up forward and have a partner, it's a bit tight. The seating in the 411 is not the best if you have a few over for dinner. Both boats sail well. You might get a better deal on a 411 as there's lots around but if you're leaning towards the 411, look at the 423. In my mind this model was the best looking of the "3" series. The main cabin is a lot more comfortable too.
