Welllll.......the bottom sprocket does have a set screw and it was loose.....bottom sprocket had slid toward the rear. I did feel around
inside the hole (2 of them) on the upper big sprocket and didn't seem to find anything that fit into any of my allen wrenches.
I just assumed that there would be set screws at the bottom of the holes. Don't know if I can get light in there to see.
I would think that the 2 sprockets should be in alignment to make the chain engage them properly.......they are not?
At first look.....it appears the bigger sprocket has moved toward the aft of the boat......as noted with your arrow, Im thinking I need to loosen the allen screws and slid the big sprocket forward to line up better with the smaller sprocket.
Does that sound about right?
Thanks for the reply
Yes there are set screws deep in each hole, loosen, align and i added a second set screw in each as they can loosen over time and use. My experience and the issue is solved.
Check lower gear also. If it gets lose you can lose the keyway. Again, my experience.
