Bernie, I both agree and disagree with Steve. I have had a 310, 340, and now a new 380. We just recently saw the 356, and as great as it looks, it IS NOT a 380. If you are into cruising for distance or live-aboard or have a family, the 380 is far superior. It is more stable in the water, has a far better aft cabin, and, once you throw in air conditioning, refrigeration, extra batteries etc., it still has lots of storage. As a non-racer, I found the 356's monsterious cock-pit locker (port-side) to be useless for other than a spare bedroom for my mother-in-law.
