I had a Hunter 380 for nine years and eight of those years I had a three blade Max feathering prop from PYI. It was outstanding in all respects, sailing (faster) powering (faster and in chop), going in reverse (I got applause). Finally when I sold my 380, the buyer said that the prop was one reason they wanted my boat.
So what can I say--get a three bladed Max prop. Expensive but you'll get your money back at the end.
It also is a standard feature on Swans and Halberg-Rassy boats. By the way my present Hunter 27 has a three blade Max prop. Still like it.
