What are the major differences between the 380, 387, and the 390. Looking at maybe buying a new 387, but want to know what are the differences.

Jim I have a 2001 C380. I recently went to the Sydney Boat show. There was a 387 and 400. The main difference between My 380 and the 387 was their seem to be more room the the main saloon area, I think because they had reduced the Nav table and just better use of space, they also made the Aft cabin a lot roomier. Apart from that there was no real noticable difference. The 400 was beautiful, I have never seen a 390 and cannot really comment. I would definately go for a 400 if I was looking at a 390. Whats the difference in Price? I'm saving my pennies for a 400. The 380 is a great Yacht and I have had no problems at all with it, she sails great and is excellent extended cruising, A real strong boat. Good Luck

Thanks

There are used 380's and 390's, but it is hard to find a used 387. Have been trying to find a copy of the option pricing list for the 387's. It is like buying a new car, the option prices determine the real pricing.

390 is the 3 cabin version of the 380

I saw one at the Newport Boat Show. With the two cabins aft, the salon and galley really become cramped. I was not impressed at all. I would rather go for the 3-cabin 400 if a 3-cabin is what I was after. Les Murray s/v Ceilidh '86 C-36 #560
