Any guess as to what bulb to take up for the original mast-head all around white light on the 37C?

Do you mean the Anchor Light?

I assume you are talking about the anchor light. If you are, then I can look it up in my records. I had to replace mine a few years ago. If it is some other light, let us know which light it is.

Scott: I will go look it up

I will be going to the boat tomorrow to work on something else. I will look up my supply of bulbs and will let you know by tomorrow night.

Here's the anchor light info

Okay Scott: The bulb for the anchor light on our h37.5 is: Perco #68, 12V-20W, Halogen, 120 BMD bulb. It is a bayonet mount with 2 stubs sticking out on the base. Now, hang onto your seat: it was $21.95. The good news for you is that the chandery where I bought this light bulb was way up north in northern BC Canada, and it was about 10 years ago. Did I over pay? yes, I did. However, we were a long way from any other store and we still had many days left to our long cruise. So, we didn't have many choices. After we got back to Seattle, we found the same bulb for a lot cheaper. I can't remember how much I paid for them in Seattle, but I think it was about $10 or so each. Anyway, I bought 2 bulbs at that time, since I was not about ready to pay a high price for it again. Now 10 years or so later, that $22 bulb is still working. Oh well.... I believe the bulb is also available by Aqua Signal Corporation, it is #90400470, F/3106012. Aside from the high price I paid for that bulb, the worst part was that my wife had to crank me up twice. 1st time to retrieve the dead bulb, 2nd time to install the new one. She was not too thrilled. I think I bought the extra bulbs in Shilshole, by the railroad tracks, but I can't remember their name. I don't think that store is there anymore.

Thanks for the info JC

I am already out $60 for a temporary anchor light, picked up one of those "Mega" Lites with LCD's that you plug into the lighter outlet and hang from the back stay. Was checking out the boat the night before we did a little cruise and discovered the mast head lite out, so had to do a quick fix. But hey, now I know what the "backside" of Bainbridge looks like.

You now know more about Bainbridge's backside

Was our crack showing? ;d ;d Hate to admit it, but we have never spent any significant time on the west side of the island. The closest to it was we did spend a night at Brownsville marina on the Olympic Peninsula.
