Deep Propets
I have the same engine-prop configuration as you, Walt, and looked longingly at the Maxi-prop literature, and the other folding/feathering props out there, but couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger on something not essential. The two-blade pushes me around fine and doesn't produce noticable drag. I'd swap for better reverse, but there seems to be enough bite there, too, when the prop isn't fouled with weeds. Some form of weed cutter is definately in the works for next season.I guess we'd all like to be able to stop on a dime and burn rubber getting away from the dock, but it is a big heavy boat with a small (old)engine and transmission. Three blades seems a good pick for the extreme conditions that we may encounter, but for the vast majority of the time when the engine is on, two seems adequate for me.Regards to all. Gary
