The float for our bilge pump is not screwed down to anything and free-floating the bilge. Obviously that is causing issues with the pump out of the bilge. My question is I want to screw the bilge float down and is there enough fiberglass where the keel bolts are to satisfactorily screw it down or should I use an alternate means of securing the float?

Yes of you use 1/2" 5/8" screws.

Awesome. Thanks bill. I didn't want to do anything below the waterline without checking first. It's better to asks stupid question than to sink a boat.
