373 (or similar) anchor tensioner, tether, safety solution?

Is your anchor weighted in such a way that it deploys as soon as the chain is loosened? Ours will still sit on the roller and needs a kick to get it moving. If it won’t deploy itself you don’t need a very heavy duty solution, just something to keep it from rocking past its balance point.

Consider mounting a padeye on the bulk head between what appears to be a wash down bib and the windlass. Tie off a piece of dyneema to padeye. Put a small shackle in the the end of the dyneema and attach it to the chain when the anchor is stowed. Put a strong backing plate on the inside of the bulkhead to secure the padeye.

Built Proof. Easy to use.

You could also use the soft shackle I posted on SBO. $2.50 to make the soft shackle 10,000 lb breaking strength.​
