Has Anyone experience with a 2 blade Flexofold or Gori Prop on the 361. I have installed one but find there is some vibration at around 1500 plus RPM.I have not motored the boat with the Facory 3 bladed prop so I do not have a comparison. Shaft alignment is perfect but there is this troubling vibration which could be normal for the 361 . Any info would be appreciatedl. John

I just installed a Gori 3 blade

in our 361, and yesterday we launched her. I had had vibrations with the 2-blade fix, but they were caused by bad alignment and had virtually gone after I fixed it. During the winter I added a drive saver to allow space for a line cutter. Yesterday motoring the engine felt like a pussycat but I did feel a little increased vibration during idling compared with the two-blade fixed. I don’t know if the added weight of the folding prop and the increased distance from the strut may be causing a sort of resonance at that speed. During motoring the vibration disappeared. Another thing, my boat came from factory missing a nut in one of the engine mounts!!!. That really caused quite a bit of vibration particularly at low RPM. Initially the dealer dismissed the problem but after insisting for almost 6 months, Beneteau finally agreed to have it checked and they found the missing nut. That and a new alignment was obviously fixed under warranty, including a new bearing. Even after that, the vibration continued, and only ended after I personally checked the alignment and fixed it to less than 0.003. You can’t really trust any body. Good luck

John : We have a Flex a Fold prop on Winpipe & it's a 16 x 13 RH. It will be interesting to compare our two boats for the same "jiggles" at the rally in Toronto this summer. Fair Winds, Paul. http://www.cmawindsor.com/winpipe/

I have just fitted a two bladed auto-prop in place of the factory fixed 2 blade. Between 1700 and 2300 revs there is some vibration, but it runs smoothly in all other rev ranges. I have been told the built in shaft skeg may be the cause of the vibration and certainly in reverse all is quiet. It clunks hard when drive is first engaged which can be quite alarming but even that I am getting used to now.
