356 Jib sheet keeps getting caught in the rigging

You are not the first one to have that happen on a Hunter 356. Good tips proposed in the attached thread.

The newer H-36 rigging is setup different no strut needed and don’t have you problem.

The same exact problem, for another boat model, was discussed this past week. There is a gap between toggle and tang that catches the line..... so eliminate the gap by installing a spacer/washer on the inboard side of the tang to push the toggle jaws inward so the outside is flush.

The same exact problem, for another boat model, was discussed this past week. There is a gap between toggle and tang that catches the line..... so eliminate the gap by installing a spacer/washer on the inboard side of the tang to push the toggle jaws inward so the outside is flush.
On our boat, I found that there's enough tension on the shroud line that a few taps with a hammer will push it in and close the gap that catches the jib line. The washer idea is next if it doesn't stay put. Cheers.
