I am in the process of changing all my cabin lighting to LEDs. I have changed all the recessed ceiling lights successfully, but since I am not at the boat and won't be for a couple of weeks, can anyone please tell me the type and identifier number for the original incandescent light bulbs that normally go into the two swivel-type reading light fixtures affixed to the forward portion of the main salon? I can then order LEDs to replace them.

Thank you

Thank you. But do the G4 bulb's two prongs stick out sideways or vertically?

Jim, did you remove the fixture base from the bulkhead or replace the cap and reflector? I bought some LED Eyeball fixtures from WM and have not succeeded in getting tho old fixtures off the bulkhead. Any suggestions ?

No the fixture is the same. Just removed the old bulb an and inserted the LED.
Found that Cruising Solutions can match up just about any LED to bulb and fixture.

Hey, Jim Seamans......

Thank you, Jim. I just ordered the same LED as for the ceiling lights, but with the two prongs facing the rear of the fixture.

What can you tell me about the original incandescent bulb for the anchor light: Watts or amps? Base? Maine Sail shows a combination anchor and steaming light fixture, with two bulbs one atop the other. Is that what we have, or is the anchor light fixture stand-alone?

Thanks and best regards

Ivan

I have done the same with my lights. I used Imtra warm white. You can't tell the difference. With some LED, they are too white.

Thats funny Ivan, four years ago I had Zahniers replace the anchor/steaming light to led. Have no idea what they installed but it is bright and works....
