If you are not familiar with 35.5 specifically, maybe another owner will join in. Pulled out old stock head today and getting ready to install new PH(Hi-Boy)II. Thanks for providing the link to Boatfix, you saved me over $50 and their service was great. Model specific question is in regard to hoses coming out of bulkhead behind head. Discharge and raw water intake are no problem. The old head had a hose running from pump cylinder through the bulkhead and back out to the bowl. That line wouldn't have a vented loop in it would it? Can't figure out why they would have run it through the bulkhead to begin with. I should be able to hook up discharge and raw water intake and GO, correct?

Nope...

You need the vented loop in the head intake...it's the only thing that prevents your bowl from flooding if the wet/dry valve is left in the wet mode. The only real question is, does it have to be as far away from the toilet as it is now? Btw...the discharge fitting on the PH II is at the front of the toilet...if you re-use the hoses, make sure it'll reach. If you need a 90 instead of the straight discharge fitting that comes with the toilet, call Raritan...they'll swap 'em out. So before you start ripping things out, better read the instructions VERY carefully! Make sure you have everything you need to install the new toilet first.
