340 Factory 3 Blade Prop

The Hunter parts store on this site has a 3 blade bronze ZF prop for sale for the 340. I imagine this was the factory option for a 3 blade. I have a 336 and am unsatisfied with the performance of the 2 blade factory prop. Does anyone have experience with the 3 blade ZF on the 340 or 336? I am considering it or perhaps a CS prop. Thanks.

don't know how a ZF prop looks like, I would suggest the Campbell Sailer Prop if you want a fix bladed prop. my friend stock 3 blade prop from Hunter looks like Mickey Mouse ears! Lots of drag.

I replaced the factory 2 blade prop on my 2000 H340 with a CS 3 blade and I am very happy with the outcome. Contact the folks at CS and they can give you a recommendation for the correct size and pitch for your boat, engine and transmission. My old 2 blade did not have much push and vibrated and this was satisfactorily corrected with the CS prop. The CS prop is cupped so the diameter may be smaller than you might expect.
