Still looking for the Mast and Rigging for my 84 Hunter 34 I have located a foot from the earlier 83 which is different than my original low profile foot that held the blocks inside the mast and of course this would change the rigging if I got a mast without the blocks inside but the rigging if it came with the mast should work. Any ideas on this

You're going to have to make a choice because of the difference in the mast bases. I like the black base the '83's have as it appears to be a lot more substancial than the later models' sticks. The blocks in the mast design appears to have been unique to the later H34's. More likely to find a straight mast if not from an H34, so the black block base may be needed.

Like Dan says, you will need to make a choice. FYI on my 84 (small mast step and blocks at base of mast), I was able to easily fit a Charleston Spars mast when I broke the original Kenyon. Same height and same oval shape. Only changes necessary was a little filing at the front of the base mast. Looking at different brands and measuring them may enlarge your search and speed up finding a mast that fits. Good Luck.

Than you guys, good advise. Now the mast question is answered and I purchase a new mast. I have to search out double spreaders and rigging. I forgot to mention that after Sandy some pirates stole the mast and rigging off the boat. At least they left me the turnbuckles attached to the chain plates. Where woul I find the spreaders and cable rigging at a reasonable price? I'm doing this on a beer budget slowly and have found some new rigging for newer hunter models for sale (spares)!is there a site that will define the cable lengths

I think you need to salvage a wrecked H 34. You may get this opportunity after hurricane season!
