I've added a bookicker to eliminated the backstay's interference with the roach on the main. It seams to work. The backstay tension is needed to make the flaking system work properly, so I ran it to the cockpit. Both seem to be positive changes. What am I missing?
I've heard from a number of you that the main halyard is difficult to raise, live with it. I jump the main at the mast and it goes up smoothly. I noticed that the clutch block fair leads put the main halyard in a kink. Any of you put a block in front of the clutch to change the angle of the line on the main?
I'd like to single hand, but I'm not quite fast enough to jump the main and run back to the cockpit to take up the slack. Any ideas?
