My base below the compression post seems to be sagging a bit. Looking below the floor boards, I drilled through the fiberglass strut right below the metal compression post base and found rotting wood that must have been used to form fiberglass support. A surveyor has recomended pulling the mast, cutting out the rotting wood and replacing the fiberglass strut with a metal pipe so the compression post can rest directly on the pipe. The fiberglass strut looks good to me but you can see some sagging. Any other 336's with this issue? Please advise.
