I am in the process of installing a Raytheon Radar in a 1989 335. I am mast mounting the radar. The display will be mounted in a NavPod at the wheel. I have everything figured out except how to run the radar wire from the mast to the cockpit. I do not see any access panels at the base of the mast inside or out. How do I get the wire through the mast? Do the mast light wires run through the cabin top or down the compression post and through the hull? Does the mast have to be lifted to run the wire? Should I put a quick connect of some kind at the mast base for future mast removal? Any help is appreciated.

All of the mast wiring is internal, there are no inspection plates. The wires are connected and disconnected when the mast is stepped. I would absolutely put a connector at the mast base or you will be sorry someday. Also check for compression post damage while you have it apart.
