Float plan:
Seas are 3-4 ft off shore with North wind 10-15. Plan to sail around the clock for a week. heading south from St Petersburg FL on the west coast of Florida.

You will run out of real estate in 2 days. It's only 200 miles or so to Key West.

If you would veer a bit to the west, a week of 100 mile sailing days would put you off the reef in Belize.

Once you clear St Pete set a heading of 180 an 2 days you should hit the Dry Tortuga's. One of my favorite destinations.

Hi, After we added a new contact compass, balanced the boat, ties everything dowin, cheched the wind and weather we set sail at 5:30pm headed west. After 3 hours we cheched our GPS and found we had sliped up to clear watet and were in a mooring field. We made it out to off shore and took shifts. As I have to be back Monday 12/24/12 to work. We decided with the winds and forcast to Visi Venice 12:00 noon. Cheched forcast and headed out, no wind headed north back home anchoered in the Manatee river. This sail was a practice. I still plan to sailto key West when I have more time and a few crew to take night shifts. I am making a list of creacher comforts.
