could someone tell me if there were any recalls or factory buletins for a 1988 hunter 33.5 model. my surveyor suggested i should find out.any other thoughts or concerns on this model would be greatly appreciated. thanks

I know of is a smaller Yanmar that some feel is under-powered. They up-graded the engines in 1990 I believe. Check out the owner reviews on the "Boat Info" tab to learn more about what actual owners think. Great boat design all in all.

My 1990 33.5 has the 2-cylinder Yanmar. I think they upgraded in 1991 or 1992. As far as recalls, I would contact Hunter Marine by calling or sending e-mail. Does your local Hunter dealer have any data on this subject? Great boat. We have owned her for 5 years and sail all over Lake Ontario. The only thing my wife doesn't like is the high freeboard. She can't stick her hand in the passing water while sailing now. I keep telling her it's the high freeboard that helps keep us dry during bad weather.
