322 Roller Furing

I am in the process of buying an Oday 322 and noticed that roller furling track seems to be made up of sections instead of being continuous. Is this normal and if it is would there be a problem installing or sliding the Jib up the tract?

You're ok with the sections. Most are still that way -see Harken http://www.harken.com/charts/foildimen.php

The original roller furler came with three aluminum sections connected by internal torque fittings. While the sail does run over the bump on the way, I've never had it hang up on the section connections.
