I have a 1988 322 on a freshwater lake and am thinking of shipping it to the coast and do some coastal cruising. Has anyone had some experience with a 322 along the east coast and maybe the Bahamas?
Thanks

John,

I can't say firsthand how a 322 would fare going to the Bahamas, but in general mine does just fine as a coastal cruiser. I haven't yet had any complaints with how she performs, whether in protected or open waters, and in just about any conditions.

One of these days I'm going to sail to Bermuda, and I'd love to do it in my 322. I'm hoping that a few tweaks here and there will make her bluewater-capable.

If I had to guess, I'd say that going to the Bahamas would be well within a 322's capability (assuming that the skipper and crew are up to the challenge as well).
