Small leak becomes a major problem, after surveying my Catalina 320 hull #39 we found that the back two keel bolts were seeping. Upon further investigation we found that the limber hose had been cut when the keel at the factory was installed. Ctalina has not came up with a satifactory game plan to fix this problem. Early model Catalina's should be aware. Even through Catalina says that Stainless Steel bolts won't rust, I differ the fact, especially if exposed to salt water. Imagine your keel falling off at sea. Catalina simply said enlarge holes in hull, fill with a sealer and place a non-corrosive washer over the top and re-install plate and nut then torque to 105lbs. Well first of all, sealer will clog or fill-up the limber hose, where will the water go then to drain. If anyone else has experienced this problem and has a solution let us know. If we have a better solution from Catalina we will let you know.
