I am trying to decide whether to buy a 310 or 320 and would be interested in reciving any thoughts, comments, reviews owners may have. I have also been told that Catalina are making some minor changes to the 310 but can't find out exactly what... Any ideas are welcome Thanks Paul

310 Changes
Paul, We have a C310 on order after going through the process of comparing the 320 and 310. You have read the reviews so know the various opinions. One thing I would tie the dealer down to is delivery time as our time has blown out by 4 months (a fact that may make a secondhand 320 more appealing
). As for the changes, I too have been trying to find out what these might be and if our yacht will have them. The best I can recommend is to compare the pdf broucher and the on line spec sheets at the Catalina Yachts site. As some changes to the interior seem to have occured as well as minor changes to capacities of fuel and holding tanks. The online spec sheet is the more recent of the two documents. Advice appears to be that Catalina do change things from time to time but usually the changes are relatively minor. Catalina have confirmed this in an email from their Florida Service centre. Paul; I was a big contributor to that archived debate on the 310 vs. 320. And as you can glean form that string of monolgues, it all comes down to persoanl preferences. They are both excellent vessels. We have hull 51 of the CAT 310 and we love it! It's everything we dreamed it would be and more. It's really quite a sailboat and we were the first people to have the settee conversion added on. If you want other tips or have questions, I'd be happy to answer them! Good luck on your purchase! C320 Owner Rethinks!
As a C320 owner, I've now seen a few C310's at Florida boat shows and have walked back and forth between the two models (on display) to make meaningful comparison. My own personal conclusion is that both boats are great and are so similar in many respects. I think the only negative is the noticeably smaller salon area and aft sleeping area on the C310. C310 owners might counter that their extra large forward berth arrangement more than makes up for this.
