Water Line Correct?

Alan, I do not have knowledge concerning weight distribution of your boat however, the first thing I would be suspicous of from personal experience is....is water line painted correctly on each side of the hull? A friend of mine kept trying to solve the problem (he had recently purchased the boat used) of being too heavy in bow. Turned out the bottom paint line was all wrong and the illusion of the boat being heavy in bow prevailed. I suspect your boat was built with all the weight of those tanks considered. Since you bought your boat new, check the water line. Good luck,

310 lists to starboard

I have a 1999 310 and it lists to starboard when I have it full and ready for a cruise. I have (but don't use) the A/C unit which is installed under the saloon starboard bench. With the holding tank empty, she lists to starboard. Once the holding tank fills, the list is less prominant. However, she still lists to starboard. What I suspect is that due to hull design and weight distribution when loaded, this boat just lists to starboard. If you look at the weight distribution, most of the heavy equipment are to starboard (fridge, stove, cabinetry, aft cabin, etc. The list it isn't noticeable under sail but at dock, moored, rafted up, anchored, I notice it. Oddly enough, empty she doesn't list (empty as in no supplies or fluids). I do keep it full of diesel almost all the time. Hope this helps, Marc

Batteries?

Add a battery to your banks which I believe are port side. Weight distribution is considered in design and manufacture so it should not list. Check for cargo distribution both above and below deck, lazarettes, etc.
