Using Adler Barber Cold Machine

I am using an Adler Barber Cold Machine on my 340 and am quite pleased with it. The customer support has been fine when I've called them (unlike Jabsco lately!!!!!). They could probably help you with sizing information. A/B also has hosted a refrigeration forum on HOW. For our size boat and general costal cruising needs they seem to be the brand of choice. Over the couple of years that I have observed this site, there have been serveral discussions from people that have installed their own systems. So, I would imagine someone will surface and be able to advise you better than I. Wynn Ferrel S/V Tranquility

Adler Barbour

Like Wynn, I too am using Adler Barbour Cold Machine in my 1997 340. It is on its fourth season and works great so far. It came factory installed and I am very glad I have it.

H310 refrigeration

Your might want to try the Friga-boat unit. It is smaller in size than Adler-Barbour or Grunert. It draws less DC current than either of the other two. It needs no ventilation fan or water pump. It costs less than the other two. It is easier to install and doesn't lose gas charge when coupling the evaporator and compressor connections. It uses exactly the same compressor and control module as the new Adler-Barbour. The small version can handle a 12 cubic foot box and the 310 box is between 4 and 6 cu.ft. I have put several of these units in boats ( I am not a Friga-boat distributor or dealer. All have functioned without any problems and have the advantages listed above. In fact I had to change out the original thermostats on two different boats because the boxes were getting too cold!
