Does anyone know where to purchase inside window coverings for all the windows on a 30 Cat? We have the original ones on our boat and would like to purchase new ones. Thanks, dean@eesearch.com

Phil; good morning, thanks for the note. What is the cost for a complete set of white coverings? Our boat is a 1979. I'm not sure if they are the exact ones which came with the boat as we have owned it for 11 years. Can you give me a website or phone number to call you? Thanks, Dean

Try Dyeing
Dean. Our curtains on our 1988 Catalina 30 appeared to seldom be opened. When we did open them the mild yellow staining/discoloration deep in the pleats raised the concern over replacement. On the ships Chandlery here, it appears a full set looks like $200 or so. You can make your own, but sewing those plastic track insert pieces looks like a challenge. We decided to try dyeing them before tossing them away and that worked well. They are all now a rich deep blue. Those liquid and/or powdered dyes you can buy at the grocery store do a great job if your going from the standard tan/canvas to a darker color or shade. They were easy to do in our washing machine without much mess and gave them new life. Saved us a bunch of $$$$. Let me suggest though if you decide to dye, washing them first in heavy bleach/hot water helped remove much of the yellow discoloration. Hope this helps. DO NOT DRY IN THE DRYER AFTER DYEING. Just hang them up til dry, iron and re-install. Regards Bob Atlanta
