Where is the fuse for this shore power 30 amp outlet? I think that is my problem. I forgot to turn off the switch before plugging in shore power. :)
This is on a Beneteau 393

I wonder if the fuse you are looking for is at the marina base and has nothing to do with your boat electrical system. Check this out. PLG

If you mean a fuse(circuit breaker) on the boat, there should be one separate from all the circuit panels, so is probably located close to the 30-amp inlet. I'd say in the aft part of the lazz, but in sight.

I tried to locate that one by where the inlet is but I see nothing there. It might be hidden as it is not that accessible.

It is supposed to be within 10 feet of the input connector.

There wasn't one on our 2002 B361; may not be one on your 393 either depending on year of manufacture and when it became an ABYC requirement. If it's there, it shouldn't be hidden. I installed an ELCI breaker near the input connectors on my boat to upgrade the system.

On my 2009 Beneteau 37 the breaker is at the middle of the starboard settee up against the bulkhead, try looking there.

Doesn't sound like that is within 10 ft. of the input connector if the input is on the stern.

Our 2014 37 has one breaker box where he describes, under the starboard settee, but also another in the starboard aft lazarette within 10' of the sockets.

Yes, the purpose of the original question isn't clear. It sounds like he connected the shore power while his main breaker panel was "on" -- which caused a "problem" which isn't explained, but of course that scenario could lead to some arcing. But you would think he knows where the main panel is located, so a lot of us assumed he was asking about a main cut-off near the shore power inlet. Although he asks for the location of a fuse rather than a breaker.

Perhaps iwindance could clarify?

I'm having a problem which may be related. I have two of these breakers, as Newport Bob provided the link for:

http://spareparts.beneteauusa.com/controleur.php?action=catasys/photo&Rep=usa&CodeArticle=058509 (picture attached)

One seems to be for the air conditioner power inlet, and works ok, and the other seems to be for everything else, including the battery charger and wall outlets, and that's the one that doesn't work.

My air conditioner circuit works, but I get no alternating current for anything else. I've reset both these breakers and it doesn't resolve my problem.

I'm not at the boat now to check, but does anyone know what the "one under the starboard settee" that he describes controls?

Vegas,
I also have AC in the 373. I have two 30 amp shore power inlets on the stern, each with a breaker as shown. (Mirror images port and stbd) Two totally separate circuits. Hooking up a single shore power cord does not provide power to both. So the "solution" might be you also have another connector.

Thanks, but yes, I do have power cords connected to both, and both are energized at the inlet receptacle because my cords have the blue LED lights indicating power is present. It is from there on that the one circuit seems to be dead.

I'm also not at the boat to confirm, but from what I remember there are two breakers under the settee, one for each circuit. So it's possible that the one there for the main circuit has popped.

Thank you all! It turns out it was the pictured breaker under the starboard settee.
I don't remember ever seeing it there in the 6 months I've owned the boat.
