Recently a gentleman posted a devise to lock the tiller on smaller Hunters. If I'm correct it was posted as a photo and required welding an aluminiun part. I used this same concept by purchasing a 1 1/2 PVC plastic "tee" fitting and a 1 1/2 to 1 1/4 reducing bushing. Schedule 40. My 95 H26 has an aluminum pipe that is somewhat bent to support the cockpit table. Glue the bushing into the bottom of the tee. This bushing will slide over the cockpit table upright post like a glove. Now lay the tee flat on a table with the bottom that has been inserted with the bushing facing you. I then marked a line from the bottom inside radius of the left hand end to the top center of the tee and cut that end off with a hacksaw. When cut off the tee should look like an 90 degree elbow except that the outer upper radius would be a flat line rather than round and now has a hole there. Now fit this devise over your table upright and match it to the angle of your tiller. Using a round rattail file you file an angle from the lower side opening you created when you made your cut to the upper side of the tee you did not touch. About 5 minutes of easy filing will make a very good match up. We used this to hold the tiller/rudder while towing the boat and found it works excellent while sailing. Done properly there is vertually no play at all in this set up. Sorry I'm too dumb to now how to post a drawing but for 3 bucks what can you expect. Ray
