I was thinking of changing the 2 blade,to a 3 blade on my 1982 Hunter 27. I'm not realy looking for a big performance change. I was told it would run a little smoother and backup a little straighter. I'm just wondering if it's worth it, and if anyone would know what pitch and size I would need for this boat? My engine is 1gm 6.5 hp. Thanks, Don

Don't be surprized

Don, I have this year and model (shoal draft)with a 3 blade prop. If it backs up straighter than a 2 blade then the 2 blade must make it turn tight circles. My boat leaving the slip will track to the port quarter at an angle approximatly 45 degrees to the centerline. This can be mitigated slightly by the wheel/rudder position. Andy
