Could you please tell me what size of prop I need for A Catalina 28 built in 1990?I would like to install a 3-bladed cruising prop. The engine is a Universal M3-20 with a hurth transmission. Have also got a PSS shaft seal and flexible shaft coulpling from PYI. Installed them 3 years ago. THey're working beautifully! Great products!!

Answer and question for Mary Lou Hunt

I have a 1994 28 (same engine and transmission)with a 3 blade prop but I don't know the size off the top of my head. I will check in my documents and will let you know if I find any information. Does the flexible shaft coupling reduce a lot of vibration and noise? Any other benefits you have noticed?

13" x 8"

Hello Mary Lou, The three blade unit for your vessel is a 13” diameter x 8” pitch three blade on a 1” shaft. Not sure of rotation. Hope this helps. Thanks you also for your kind words of PYI and our products. Kevin
