2GM20F Oil Pressure and Temp Sending Units

I would like to install both an oil pressure and temp gauges. I also want to keep the existing idiot lights and horns. I have been told that I would have to tap the existing holes for standard sizes and also add T's. Is this true? I really don't want to tap anything on the block.
Does Yanmar or anyone make a T that will fit the original metric holes, senders and new standard senders?
Also does anyone know the size and thread of the existing temp and oil pressure sending units?
The space between the oil sending unit and the main pulley is tight when you add a pressure gauge sender, if I add a T I don't think it will work.
I welcome any options that you might have.
Also if anyone has a photo of their jobs it would be greatly appreciated.

Search under "Looks Great" and filter by Allan12210. There you will find a posting I did on how I added my temp and oil senders on a 3GMF22 and picture. It may be very similar to your engine with the extra ports already in the casting...no T's required.

I added a temp sender to my 2GM20F - there were two holes available around the thermostat (I think they're for remote water heater) that worked just fine. I just got a "standard" temp sender and it screwed right in. I'm not sure about the oil pressure sender, though.

I plan on the same addition to my 3GMF. Parts guys say they have senders to change out that will maintain alarm function. Check with a good Yanmar parts guy. Dan @ Old Lyme Marina knows this stuff.

Gauges are fine but are usually out of direct sight so there is no substitute for for checking your fluids before starting out and testing the buzzer and warning lamps.

Clearance probkems

You can get around the clearance problems for the oil pressure sender, by installing a ell in the existing hole, then making a T off of that. One end of the T facing out of course, and the other one facing up. Not sure that would work on the water sender, as you may need the sending unit closer to the block. Lots of the cheep guage sets that come from places like wally world, and auto supply stores have several sizes of metric fittings in them.
