Hi all,

I have a cell phone that is 2G and no longer use because it soon won't be supported by TracPhone. Can this old technology still be used elsewhere, Bahamas maybe?

I believe some US carriers still support 2G. I have a Ting 2G SIM card that still works. I think Ting uses T-Mobile so their network might still support it too.

Why bother, the iPhone 4s and newer are quad band phones that simply need a swapped out SIM to work in the Carib.

Well I was going to see how well it held up to a 8# sledge hammer, but maybe somebody might get some use of it. Just bought a new battery, too.
