Hello - I have interest in buying a 1997 29.5 Hunter sailboat. Dies anyone have any comments (good or bad) about this Hunter model?

Maybe you could start with the "Owner's Reviews" here on HOW. The Related Link takes you to the 29.5. Obviously the 290s are going to be newer and more expensive. Aesthetically I prefer the 29.5.

Check the "Owner Reviews" on this site. Looks like there are about 21 for the 29.5. Good place to start. You also may want to e-mail owners directly and see what they think.

Are you near to any of the owners? Search the owners director for an owner near you and send them an email for a first hand look. We love our 1994 Hunter 29.5 and although I listed for sale once, we won't sell it unless we have "the replacement" in our sights. In considering the sales price for ours I looked at other 29.5s listed for sell. I don't know if you are new to sailing or moving up, but the 29.5s offer a lot of value in my opinion. A lot of interior space and big boat feel for half of what a new 27 cost.
