Since purchasing my Hunter 280 back in September this year the vessel has always had a "slight" list to port. Originally expected problem to be half empty (or full - depending on which way you think !) fuel tank on the Starboard side with a full waste tank on the Port side. But waste tank was empty and even after filling up the fuel tank to full the list didn't disappear. Any thoughts - Thanks in advance. Robb

same on our 26

We have the same concern with our 26. Anyone else with this problem on the 26?

Bad on my 335 also!

I think this a common problem with the newer ighter boats. Perhaps we should put our heads together and develop a boat balancing system using water pumped from one side of the boat to the other. The old sandbaggers used to do something like that years ago and I believe some of the new ocean racers also have a system where they pump water to the high side to help keep the boat flat. They do it sailing purposes but the principal would be the same.

List

Our 290 had a significant list to starboard. We fixed it by moving two house batteries to the other side. Now it sits nice and level. Dan Jonas (S/V Feije)

Store your beer

on the high side. Works great as long as holding tank is on that side too.

Our H26 leans too. We sometimes balance it

with coolers etc. when leaving to boat so it looks right when the good inlaws come with us next time, or, try to get the lean to about 30 degrees for a couple of other less desireable relatives. Actually, after about the third time out, you just forget about it. Ray S/V Speedy
