My 1988 h28.5 seems to have developed a leak between the aluminum "U" the hatchboards sit in and the frp the "U" sits in. (either that, or the mainsheet travellor needs to be removed and re-caulked.) To re-caulk the "U", is it necessary to remove it totally or can I just use some good high-quality sealant on the outside of the joint between the "U" and the FRP? Also, if forced to remove/re-caulk my travellor, is it a big job? ANy special concerns I should be aware of? Looks to be jusat a bunch of thru-bolts that need to be removed and re-caulked.

If it's like the H28

Go to the photo forum and search for my name or the Hunter 28. It's not too difficult a job. Regards. Bruce Neon Moon

While you're at it..

You may want to replace the pulley at each side of the trav. The ones I had turned sun brittle and cracked. Jim
