Have another question, I can't see any way that engine, Stuffing box area drains to keel, or should say bildge, is it not suppose to or does that tell you that you have some kind of leak back there ?? Just thought it should drain to bildge

Bgjj, I've got the same boat. My engine compartment doesn't seem to drain to the bilge either. My stuffing box has a consistent drip, about 20 to 25 drops per minute, when docked after cruising. It's more than what I'd like, but if my vessel sits for more than three days it reduces the rate to maybe 2 times a minute. I can live with that until the time I haul her out. Anyway, I sometimes have an inch of water underneath the oil pan. I sponge it out when it bothers me. Good luck.

My 322 does the same thing. I assumed it a design feature to ensure that if the crank case fails the oil won’t end up in the bilge right away?

Brian, I don't know where you read it but the weep feature is necessary for cooling purposes. Mine leaks somewhat more than suggested so next haul I'll repack if still necessary.

I think if you put your finger in the forward end of the engine pan there is a drain hole that get's clogged...it can be opened with a wire, but my attempts to open it have never been successful....
