272 LE Exterior Wood Trim

O'day 272 LE Lake Lanier
I have removed all hardware and wood trim and am replacing as needed and rebedding. I am curious if anyone has any recommendations for replacing the wood trim (e.g. Hand rails, toe rails, companionway hatch trim) other than D&B? The teak replacements from D&B seem pricey.

Anyone make their own? If so, what kind of wood? Any trouble or recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

We made our own companionway boards, but that is all for the exterior...have about
sanded away the toerails...need to replace, but am thinking of selling the boat as have had this boat since 1986

Don't want to sell the boat as it has been a fantastic boat....it's saved my life several times in some pretty bad conditions.....bought it new in a blizzard in Wichita Christmas of 1986...or 87..losing track.
