It's time to replace the bimini boot but it is a complicated affair with the slot for the back stay. Where can I get a proper replacement boot?

An auto canvas shop will do if you can't find a marine canvas fabricator, either can fabricate a new bimini from your old one.
Think zipper, to get the bimini around the back stay. However, if needed you can use a halyard to as a temporary back stay.
Also if you don't, you may want to consider a window to see you mast top fly.

where is a good place to order a 272 bimini / and pehaps dodger?
Im in middle of America.....My wife developed a sqammous cell carcinoma
so I think it is time to cover up.....approximate costs?
