Being new to sailing I would appreciate some help in determining the correct spinnaker size for my 27-83. I am looling for a used one with a sock, also one that I do not need a pole to use. Any suggestions on reliable used sail company? Any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks. Ronnie

Try this site. They should have your model listed and will give you the dimensions on any spinnaker they have that will fit. I have visited their store and they are great to deal with from my experience. You may find a cheaper deal via ebay but it is a good starting place. http://www.baconsails.com/ Notice the search by model at the bottom of the page which is what you need.

Being new to sailing,

consider waiting until you gain more experience before hoisting a spinaker.

what about a furling system

Thanks for the reply Benny...I was wondering, what about a furling system for my 27_83 in lieu of a spinnaker...can you recommend a brand name? The boat came with a new 150 genoa...if I install a furling system would it be an advantage to furl the genoa or should the jib be installed instead?
