I'm suprised that Mac Gregor Yachts hasn't jumped in to clear this up about the 26Xs.With any boat common sense is important.The thing about this, is that everyone will remember the bad rap that the boats getting.If I cranked my keel up and got knocked down,I guess the same could happen to my boat.but the lives of those kids will stick in everyones mind as well as the boat that caused it,whether or not it's true. If I was going to buy a boat,it probably wouldn't be a 26X,until this mess is cleared up.Once something gets a bad rap,it's hard to clear up,most of the time.Unfortunately people seem to remember the worst.
