26x models

hey guys,
*which year models of the 26 x had the head on the starboard side of the companionway, and the galley on the port side.
*was that one also using a dagger board?
*did those models also have the larger cockpit as per the other x models?

that seems to be the nicest layout, (for me that is)
what were the shortcomings of this model- all opinions welcome.
sure would be nice to get the new m hull with that x layout- mmmm

I'd like a Mac 26D,S hull with the head room and appointments of the 26X.
I like the dual rudders but don't need the big motor though.

I agree... the X model with a traditional sailboat hull would be my choice, or a 25 with standing headroom would be perfect. I like the keel.

just for us that need to motorsail- due to the many constraints of life- the new M hull seems to be the best one out there yet.
but i do like the bigger cockpit, and layout below of those X models.

I believe all the X models have the potty on the starboard side and galley on the port.

26X's do not have a daggerboard, they have the swing keel - bumps up if it hits bottom.

26X's have a larger cockpit and more 'feet room" than the 26M's.
