26x autopilot

Does anyone have any recomendations on an autopilot for a 26x. I heard the raymarine sport pilot plus 2 is OK? any suggestions???

I am trying it

I spoke to the Macgregor dealer and he said he puts the Sport Pilot on and has had no complaints. I bought one and will be giving it a try in a couple of months. Raymarine says it is not reccomended for sailboats but the 26X is light and easy to steer, so I trust the guy who has experience over an operator at Raymarine with a script. There have been a few reviews on this board some good some bad. Keith

Sportpilot

I took my Sportpilot off because I never really used it.......I found it to be not that great when under power with the rudders up. It worked fine when sailing but I found myself tuning the sail plan to sail in a striaght line more fun. I also had a small squeek that after having it sent back a few times could never really get rid of.
