26M specification/ratings

Does anyone know these specifications/ratings for the 26M? Some of these depend on the boat setup (including ballast empty/full) so include any relevant information along with the numbers. 1) Displacement 2) Hull speed 3) Capsize screen rating 4) AVS (Angle of vanishing stability) 5) Handicaps (state boat setup and handicap system name, I'm sure this will be all over the map) thanks,

Check the factory spec link here: http://www.macgregor26.com/specifications.htm Sail calc lists the Capsize Ratio as 1.99: http://www.image-ination.com/sailcalc.html A 140 AVS is attainable with water ballast and weight low in the cabin. I've seen PHRF ratings from 215 to 230 (PHRF is for racing conditions only) You'll leave any other sailboat standing still when you crank up the 70HP "kicker". Of course you can't use the OB for sail racing but you can use it in "real life" conditions. How you equip, load, crew and handle your boat will ultimately determine how it performs and how safe it is. Happy sails *_/), MArk

Sail Calc is great

MArk, Thanks for the pointer to Sail Calc - I hadn't come across that site yet and it has exactly what I was looking for. Very useful for comparisons of specs between a variety of boats - good stuff.
