Im interested in the 260 and went to price one out in ohio and it was 35,000 with out the trailer is this the going price? hunters site said 25k plus shipping and dealer prep I find it hard to belive 10k for getting it to ohio putting it together, motor, misc and commision am I wrong? what should a good price be with trailer?

I too have been looking at prices for the H260. The $25k price you see listed at the Hunter Marine web site is the base price. There is also a list of options. By the time you add the options you are likely to want, and the trailer, it comes to about $40k.

I have a 2003 H260 I bought last August. The base price they publish is really deceiving. I got the interior upgrade and a few other things and after taxes & title financed $31,000. & I didn't get the trailer because I could not see financeing $2500 in with the boat when I can buy a better made trailer locally for $1500. Plus I put all the extra matching covers & bemini. That's the last time I buy a new boat. My next one will be a good used. Now I want to sell my boat. I just want someone to take over the note which is about $30,000. & people think I'm crazy, because they see the web site & think I'm trying to cheat them. But, after you add the upgrades, state taxes & everything else, they are getting a good deal. I'm taking a loss on all the extra things I've added in the last year, such as E-Z steer System, depth finder, etc.

Easily $40K after...

Try Different Dealers
Try looking on the interent for used or new at dealers out of state. I got my 290 out of state and saved alot of cash doing so,it might be even easier with a boat that has a trailer,I saw a lot of 260 for sale when I was looking. I drove eight hours to look at my boat and saved over $10,000 plus extra's including having it sailed to new york. Some one is always going bigger. nick

I gasped when they added up the options, trailer (with brakes) tax, shipping and prep (well over $40) but I was unhappy with my 216 (which they took in trade at a great price) and the tax brake in Washington and good APR 4% on a new boat. and i figured I did ok. the only problem now is I have to wait till mid sept to get possesson of it, we run out of sun up here around then (and sunlight)
