I would like to rig my 260 for single handed sailing and racing, and would like to know if anyone has come up with a fix for bringing the jib leads back while you are at the wheel. Also has anyone added a traveler to the mainsheet or any other toys that make it easier on the lone sailor. thanks!!!!!

Stern cleats

As long as you can handle the jib sheets without the need to use the winch handle, simply run the sheets around the winch and then make fast on the stern cleats. Works on the H26. Don't know about the 260.

Changed out supplied jib sheet for one long enough to reach the stern cleats -- regulary single hand and get by without using the winches by simply heading up long enough to set the sail. Feeding the sheet through the base of the stanchion on either side helps keeps it out of the way and off the crew. Tried adding a second block, which together with the spinnaker block I already had, make a two part system. Not worth the trouble or expense ... jib is small enough that with a little practice it is managable without mechanical aid. Recently, sailing alone, gave up about a mile to a Catalina 27 with a crew of two and big genoa; caught up in less than five miles. Lake sailing means tacking, so this has been successful for me.
