Changed out supplied jib sheet for one long enough to reach the stern cleats -- regulary single hand and get by without using the winches by simply heading up long enough to set the sail. Feeding the sheet through the base of the stanchion on either side helps keeps it out of the way and off the crew. Tried adding a second block, which together with the spinnaker block I already had, make a two part system. Not worth the trouble or expense ... jib is small enough that with a little practice it is managable without mechanical aid.Recently, sailing alone, gave up about a mile to a Catalina 27 with a crew of two and big genoa; caught up in less than five miles. Lake sailing means tacking, so this has been successful for me.
