Can anyone help me out here? Looking to buy a H260 and i'm not close to any dealers. Does anyone know where i can view some detailed pics of interior and cockpit? sent away for brochures but they don't show too much detail,and they only show the keel model. Plus could anyone advise if its posssible to make alterations so that the table can drop down to form a double birth in the water ballast model. TIA Mark D

We have a 26 and the cabin table pivots 180 degrees to make a v-berth. I don't think that's been changed on the 260. However, you're probably better off using the settees as two single berths than trying to fit 2 people into the v-berth. I made a saw cut on the port side of our table & converted it to a drop-leaf. The 260 water ballast table does not drop down to form a large berth. Rather, it is elevated slightly to pivot it 180 degrees so that it makes the forward berth slightly larger. This is illustrated on the 260 floorplan diagram. For general information, the table only goes down in the keel version only since it does not have the centerboard housing under the table that is found on the water ballast version. Crazy Dave

My table also goes down. The pin that goes through the compression post and fits into the notch on the table base can be tapped out (if the weight of the table is taken off of it), and the table then drops. It ends up about level with the settees. This can be a nice configuration if you're trailering and need space for some gear.

Harvey If you pop out the pin and drop the table where does it fall....where is the edge of the table in relation to the aettees. Does the table rest on the settee at all or does all the weight remain on the collar around the compression post? Tom/Ft Worth

WB -- table doesn't go all the way down...
On the Water ballasted version of the boat, the table will not go all the way down. My solution (not yet implemented) is this: Spin the table forward to extend the V-berth space. (I usually leave it in this configuration to allow more room in the middle of the cabin.) For an added berth, build a removable plywood platform that fills the gap between the port and starboard settees. The problem is where to store the peices when you aren't using them. Let me know if you have similar ideas. Fair winds, Tom
