I’m looking for dimension details on the wing keel for the hunter 26.5 sailboat. If anyone has helpful info I will modify this eyeball approach to nesting the wing on the keel rail.

First you want a flat surface for the keel tray. Should you goof and the keel is on the wing, the weight of the boat will either bend or break off a wing.
You need to provide photos of the trailer for better responses as I asked you to do. Please provide them. I was involved in designing sailboat trailers.
The owners manual does not have the width of the wing keel. Unless one is on the hard or stored in a yard to measure the width, the only choice you have is to call Mars Metals located in Canada who extruded that keel

Hello Dave, Thanks for taking an interest. I will send more trailer photos. I have already made trailer mods to remove the narrow keel guides and made them unbolt to open the width to allow the 26 inch wide wing back to a position o we the front axel. You can see the trailer dimensions on the sketch I made. My plan is to remove the now bolt on sections and lock into place the board that should nest between the wings and allot the keel to sit onto the board and not stress the wings.

First you want a flat surface for the keel to rest on not that board pictured in the photo with total height no more than a quarter inch above the metal tray. In addition, the higher board will make it more difficult to launch and retrieve the boat
Thanks for the help! My board modification did the trick! I had to take myself under the waterline in order to measure and adjust the supports.I sectioned and removed the narrow keel guides but made them drop into place so Trailer can work as designed for owners boat. Now it also works for the 26.5 Hunter with Wing Keel.

First I have recommended removing that board as it has a narrow level strip on board wit the rest angled downward If loading the boat sideways on that narrow piece of wood and/or should the keel move off that narrow strip due to transport, the wing is as great risk of ripping off. Suggest removing that boat adding a flat board on top of the keel tray which lower the boat making easier to launch and retrieve
When done, please post two pictures from both ends of the trailer to see about clearance of the wings. Thanks

I took detailed dimensions yesterday and can confirm the 24 .5 tip to tip. I’m planning on attempting to build a 3-D CAD of it since it has such interesting features. My first fixed keel.
I made a rough representation of the wing keel for reference. The trailer I modified was not my own and I learned that the first attempt to take dimensions was in the water in February and it better to wait until its out of the lake. I have attached a sketch for future readers
