Hey all,
has anyone out there had a trailer for their 26.5? If so, can you launch form a ramp? It seems like it shouldn't be too hard to do, but I figured i'd ask.

Yes you can easily,

However, depending on the water depth at the ramp you may have to use a extension to move the trailer further from the vehicle to get to deep water. Depending on the hight of your trailer, your going to need upwards of 4 - 5 ft water depth to float the boat. Watch the rudder while launching from a ramp, it's the first thing to hit and easily broken.

The real problem is loading the boat back up if you are extended from the vehicl. The trailer is completely submurged so I get wet wading out and guiding the boat to the bunks and keeping it there while the trailer is slowly pulled out.

5 feet!

I'm going to have to have a custom trailer built, and was looking at tandem torsion axles, which would allow me to have the keel ride lower.
Actually, I don't even have the boat yet, but I launch my 23 without much issue (27" draft).
